So.. This just happened. ;) Thank you sirius pulse and all you other awesome stations for all the love.

I saw this via Kate’s twitter, and it is so awesome.  This woman (Rachel Platten) is hearing her song on the radio for the first time and is so genuinely moved and thrilled, it brought tears to my eyes.  And the song is really good!  It’s always so wonderful to watch people fulfilling their dreams!

I’ve known Rachel since we were kids and did Annie together at camp (she was Annie, duh). She’s insanely talented and I’ve now listened to this song (“1000 Ships”) a gajillion times today. I do no understand how it’s not in a car commercial yet.

Anyway, this video of her hearing her song on the radio for the first time is awesome. Go Rachel.

 No I don’t know her, and I wasn’t there.  No I don’t know her music.  But when I saw this, it 100% made me tear up a little bit and smile from ear to ear.  Seeing this kind of genuine excitement and uber important moment in someone’s life is simply amazing.  You go girl.
